uncannycamp This album is a fashion show runway of dark synthetic beauty that takes hold of your emotions and transitions them to a better place of reflection. Favorite track: At the End of the World.

Tudor This is a wonderful new release, I hope to see more in this darker electronic instrumental direction from Symbion Project. The whole album is very coherent and musical. A few interesting oriental motifs, very well integrated stylistically.

Malcolm McCrimmon One of Symbion Project's most cohesive, addictive albums yet. The tracks all build on and complement each other, so picking a favorite is a bit arbitrary, but Save Yourself gives me chills every time. Favorite track: Save Yourself.

about

BACKSCATTER is the 10th album from eclectic electronic artist Symbion Project. This album is a dark, brooding, instrumental album featuring moments of haunting beauty captured like insects in amber. Layers of vintage analog synths, distorted Japanese koto, and complex drum programming push BACKSCATTER into a heavier, more sonic territory than previous releases. My goal was to create a work where dark melancholia, anxiety and disillusion, and aching beauty could all co-exist.
