4th full length album 5 years in the making, released in sept 2009 on cd & dvd features both stereo and quad surround audio
following in the footsteps of 2003's "immortal game," this latest album returns to the esoteric beats, scratchy vinyl samples, and lush synthesizers that are trademarks of the symbion project sound.
working closely with simon swarbrick, who also added strings to UHP's "subtle things ep," many of the songs feature an array of elaborate string arrangements that breath life into the mechanical beats.
melissa kaplan of UHP adds her beautiful vocals and lyricsto many of the songs in addition to kasson who sings on quite a few as well.

Your elastic words snap back
The stinging pierces deep and fills me with your pain
No antidote can save me from the fact
That thoughts of sympathy I cannot entertain
Every move I make just tightens up your grip
Your damaged psyche cannot be undone
Every move I make just tightens up your grip
Why don't you let me slip away from you?
This push and pull, it frightens me
Bound by promises I know I cannot keep
This push and pull confuses me
Take advantage while my tired eyes
My tired eyes are full of sleep
You thought that I could save you from yourself
Some sort of shield, some kind of shining knight
Hidden thoughts are hazards to your health
I will not fan the flames that passion would ignite
Every move I make just tightens up your grip
Your skewed perspective cannot be undone
Every move I make just tightens up your grip
Why don't you let me slip away from you?

WOW this album grew on me fast. My favorite track changes frequently. Step into the Sunshine is brilliantly sinister, Memory disappears beautiful and melancholy. Right now Rare Bird is an amazing unicorn chaser. jbclements
The tracks are mostly diverse, and the songs I love most tend to resemble each other. All the songs are very complex, with many things going on, and I find it relaxing to focus and study the components one by one. sxoidmal
